Aussie Trip - Sydney

It's been a while since I visited Australia, I still remember that time Aussie currency was just 1.8x when I changed 10 years ago, and now, it's already gone up till 3.1x! WOW, what a big different!!!

Since Steven is so keen to go there, we then booked it during Air Asia promotion. The air fares cost us about RM 1900 for 2 persons for return fares (Gold Coast-Coolangatta Airport). A very good deal though!

We spend 3D/2N in Sydney & 4D/3N in Gold Coats!

Here's our itinerary in Sydney for sharing:

Brekkie at Gold Coast Airport

what I get from Gold Coast airport, a limited edition Hello Kitty...:)

We booked 1255hr flight to Sydney thru Jet Star, the same day we arrived Gold Coast Airport at 0725hr, just incase any last minute delay. In other way, we can at least enjoy our breakfast without rushing for the next flight, and can do some shopping at the airport also..Haha

Where we Stay?

Have you heard about  "Mystery Hotel Deal" from Wotif.com? We booked Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney from Wotif.com under this "Mystery Hotel Deal". A very special deal, Studio Room at AUS $ 270.95 for 02 nights stay. The hotel is located close to Sydney attractions. (more...)

Where we Go?

Sydney Harbour Bridge

Opera House

The weather seems to be not really good when we were there, it was raining from morning until late night. But thank god the weather wasn't that bad during the 2nd day before we leave Sydney, and so, we managed to visit the city's icons, Sydney Harbour Bridge & Opera House without using an umbrella. Haha.. It's very easy to get around in Sydney though, but due to the bad weather, we need to get a taxi to get around, it cost us a lot on transportation in Sydney. Poor thing!

Besides that, we also visited this duty free shop.

So where we go during raining season? Since we can't do much outside due to the heavy rain, we then heading to Queen Victoria Building. A trendy shopping mall with slick metal and glass architecture. And then we had tea at one of the cafe. Life isn't that great! Haha

What we Eat?

Here's some recommendation:
  • Sydney Fish Market (more)
  • Pancakes on the Rocks (more)
  • City Extra at Circular Quay (more)
And that's all for Sydney, lets continue our itinerary in Gold Coast! :-)
