HONG KONG - I Love Hong Kong!

It's been a while since we last visited Hong Kong. Thanks to Air Asia for so many promotions in order for us to travel around so many places with Cheap Fares! Now, I can travel anytime to meet my best pal Lily if they having promo fares to Hong Kong, yahoo!

Hong Kong is renowned as the culinary capital of Asia & a shopper's paradise. Wherever you go Hong Kong, there are always good foods everywhere. As for shopping, the most crowded place for shopping are Mongkok & Causeway Bay. If you are looking for outlet mall, Citygate is the one.

Where We Stayed?

We have saved up on accommodation this trip as we stayed at Lily's place! She's staying in Hong Kong Island hence it's very easy for us to travel around by MTR, the MTR station is just 10 minutes walking distance from her home.

Where We Go?

The first day after our dinner, we headed to the most well known entertainment place " Lan Kwai Fong" for a drink.

The next day we had dim sum breakfast with the twins (Lily's niece). Haha. Finally, we got the chance to meet them in person. They both are adorable. Too bad we only have limited time to spend with them.

After breakfast, we went to the Lantau Island, Ngong Ping 360. It's one of the must see attraction in Lantau Island. I still remember our last trip to Lantau Island, we travel there by bus & just to see the giant buddha (Tian Tan Buddha Statue). But now, the place is more developed. You can go there by MTR where is much more convenient compare to last time. And then, you can choose to enjoy the cable car ride on Standard or Crystal Cabin. We had Round Trip (on Crystal Cabin from Tung Chung and Normal Cabin from Ngong Ping @ HK$ 153 per pax.)

Besides that, you can also visit the new attractions, Ngong Ping Village which is set on a 1.5 hectare site on Lantau Island, adjacent to Ngong Ping Cable Car Terminal and the Tian Tan Buddha Statue. From here, you can walk around for souvenir, food & beverage before/after you heading to Tian Tan Buddha.

From here, you may also make your wishes at the Bodhi Wishing Shrine! A wishing card can be redeemed with any purchase of HK$ 150 or more at Ngong Ping 360 souvenir shops.

Ways of getting there, you can travel from any MTR stations to Tung Chung by taking the Tung Chung Line at MTR Hong Kong Station. Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal is adjacent to MTR Tung Chung Station. It is a 2 minutes walk from Exit B of the station.
After that, we proceed to Citygate Outlet Mall, the first Outlet mall in Hong Kong, where over 80 brands from around the world, all offering year-round discounts of 30% to 70%. Too bad we don't have much time to spend on shopping this round. Love shopping? Citygate Outlet Mall is the shopping place you must go.
Click here for more details and also the list for all outlets available in the mall.

Getting There
Travel from any MTR stations to Tung Chung by taking the Tung Chung Line at MTR Hong Kong Station, then take Exit C to Citygate Outlets.
I love Hong Kong's night scenery. Everytime we visit Hong Kong, we sure will visit either The Peak or Victoria Harbour to see the beautiful night scenery. This time, we got the chance to take a ride on the star ferry from Victoria Harbour to Central.

Where We Eat?

Of course we won't miss our all time favourite restaurant, Tung Po Restaurant. Besides Tung Po, Lily brought us to try the famous Peking Duck, and the famous Causeway Bay Spicy Crab & also yummylicious dessert from Tong Pak Fu & also one of our favourite dessert restaurant, Hui Lau Shan. And besides that, another friend of mine, Connie also brought us to Sai Kung for the famous Sai Kung Chung Kee Che Chai Noodle.

There's so much foods to eat but we have limited time. We don't even have time to go Char Chan Ting for the hong kong style french toast & Ying Yong Ice. But still we managed to have them the last day when we were in the airport. Hong Kong's french toast is always best!

We really enjoyed our trip. Special thanks to Lily for the great hospitality & thanks for bringing us to all the yummy foods during our trip.
